Wedding updates

Hi ppl! Finally! Got sometime to write in my blog. Finding spider webs around in blog coz haven’t got a time come in.

My wedding already past, coming to 3 months. Thinking back about it.. its real fast! First I am busy on the renovation part then wedding preparation and now its already over! My sisters consist of Alice, Susan, Ee Ni, Siqi, Brenda and Wendy. And for Brothers Scott, Kar Kiat, Yong Ming, Allan, Gin and Jack. Emcees are Siqi (English) and Alice (Mandarin).

Steven came to pick me up at 7am but due the photo and videographer was late, he can only came out from the car around 7.30am. Then the sisters proceed to “sarbo” the groom and brothers. Ask them to throw dice to do the things that’s on the the vanguard sheet. 1^st sister’s asking groom to give them ang bao and they found Steven gave them different currency in the red packet. 2^nd thing to do, is to solve 2 Primary 5 maths questions. No one manage to solve the maths questions and they were fined (need to give ang bao again). 3^rd game, Alice put 6 gummies on Steven’s face and ask the brothers to eat the gummies from Steven’s face. Then put the last gummy on the groom’s nose and ask him to find ways to eat it without using hands. 4^th game, the groom and brothers have to use their legs to find the keys in the pills of ice. After they got the keys, groom will use the key to open the door. Then they manage to get into the house around 8.10am then the last event is to ask them to Sing and Rap songs. And finally, able to open the door to get me.

After my house, we go to our new house for the ceremony. We have to reach new house before 9am and stay there till 11am before going to Steven’s grandma house. After Steven’s grandma house, we go back to my parent’s house for tea ceremony. Then the last place, we go to my grandma house.

The Car uncle came to pick us up at 4pm. It was raining heavily and we proceed to Noble house for the make up. 6pm- guests slowly coming in and dinner starts around 815pm and finished around 1030pm.

It was a nice feeling, a great memorable moment in my life which I will not forget. Thanks for all relatives and friends who grace this important moment in my life.

22^nd May (Friday)- Joshua and I participated in our company’s badminton tournament. It was not a nice feeling.. coz I know my standard.. and agreed to play becoz thinking it might be fun.. in the end.. we lost badly. One of the reason is becoz not much training and the other one is Me! I don’t have the “I want to win” attitude.. I don’t have the sportsmanship. Not sure if its in me in my character or wat.. but I just don’t have it. I like to enjoy but not to CHIONG.. Now I understand why Ronny doesn’t want to take part in the tournament.. cant enjoy but to need to have the WIN attitude. After a talk with Steven yesterday, I find him right becoz he mentioned that I am wasting people’s time (partner and also other competitor playing with us). I feel bad and guilty. After this incident, I told myself, I will not play any competition in future if there is not enough training. Don’t want to waste other people’s time and also not to make myself so malu… Sorry Josh..

Renovation starts today!

Today, my new house is going to renovate. Looking very forward for the outcome. :) 

Last few days was really busy. Saturday went to search for air con @ gain city and bed @ Novena furniture mall ( hougang plaza), then went to Emeline’s house stay over and getting prepared for her gate crash the next morning. The gate crash was a funny and enjoyable one. She has 12 brothers and 12 sisters. almost half of them are couples and we know each other too! So you can imagine the craziness happening during the gate crashing. Its really fun and very enjoyable one. After the ceremony wedding in the morning, i went to Juliet’s wedding @ Regent hotel and night. Then the next day (Mon, luckily its Hari Raya Haji) went back to new house to pack up, remove those unwanted things. Steven, mother-in-law and i spent 5 hours removing things in that house. After removing, went home bath and get ready to go to Emeline’s wedding dinner @ Pheony Jade (Clarke Quay). After dinner went home to get ready for work the next day. Then Tuesday night, ask dad and god-pa to help us with the furnitures we wanted. Move the furnitures from the new house to Sengkang.. my parent’s house now very messy… all with our stuffs. Hopefully our new house can be done soon so can move everything back there again.

Counting down to 7th March 2009

Hihi! Long time no update! : )

This time i am counting down to my customary wedding next year. Steven and i took our wedding photos on the 10th of Oct, indoor is very tiring, by the time we going outdoor (Botanic Garden, Sentosa & Boat Quay)… no energy already. Yesterday both of us went to see our photos. The outcome is quite good. Quite satisfied with the result. Hm.. want to see?? hehe.. will put it here when it is ready. : ) Our albums will be collected with 59 photos (29 + 30), got back the whole disk of 133 photos for additional $1500 on top of Bridal Package of $2888. I find it quite worth it (hopefully). ^_^/

Think now, photos settled liao, left renovation, guo da li, guest list and montage. Today we will be going down to Maxs Image to choose tiles for our new house. Renovation will starts early Dec this year.

An advise to all people out there getting married or planning to get married, save as much money as you can coz you will never know how much you will spend. Our renovation will cost around 36K + furnitures, lightings, toilet accessories, kitchen accessories 10k + wedding studio actual day photo & video 6K + wedding dinner 24K + misc 4K = 80K!!?? Wow! headache! Havent count honeymoon.. now it really depends on how much we receive for the dinner angbao. So… friends out there… save as much money as you can k? Above is just a breakdown that both Steven and i are going through. Just take it as a guide bah.

Oh yah! Important thingy! Thanks for all the friends there wishing me Happy birthday. Taking another chance to say Happy birthday to all my friends having the same birthday month as me! Take care and keep in contact! This year, 1st birthday in PIL, received a big Ang Bao from them. Steven bought me a white PSP and a Sonic Ericson C702 (Cyan). Thanks to Dear too! : )

Nothing is forever…

Nothing is forever… i believe in this sentence alot. Everything will change.. Just treasure what you have right now. Friends.. Family.. job.. everything will go sooner or later..

I have a friend, told me something which i find i need to treasure more. She told me that her best friend from primary school pass away and she gathered her ex-classmates to her friend’s wake and that is their first time gathering together. And one person mentioned," I do not want to only meet up at such occasion." And after that incident they have occasional meet up.

I think, this is happening to everyone. Every people is too busy with their own life. It is only when something happened, people will start to think over it. Hopefully it isnt too late..

Leg Pain Pain- HSBC Treetop walk

Hello! This morning, Wendy, Steven and Hon and i went to HSBC treetop walk. Such a long walk! 3 hours leh! My legs are very sore now.. I wonder how it will be for the next few days.

This year’s Valentine’s Day, Ah Hon brought me to Sentosa for buffet dinner. An open space which able to see harbourfront scenery. Before dinner, we took the Calsberg revolving tower to see the view of Sentosa. Dinner was quite romantic but food not very nice worz… anyway, i’m very grateful to have a valentines dinner with my love one. Thanks Dear!

I took my 1st leave after 3 months probation in PIL. Hon and i went to Malacca (A’Formosa Resort) on the 22nd Feb to 24th Feb for a leisure trip (3 days 2 nights). New experience, instead of taking bus, we took train there. Hm… The trip taking train there is quite an enjoyable one but coming back is a distarious! Air-con was not working.. and it stopped quite long for a few stations. The train trip took 4 hours to reach the destination and from there, a hotel transfer was done. After we reached there, we head towards their Cowboy Town for lunch but.. nobody there. Its a dead town.. So no choice we went to their club house for buffet lunch. After lunch.. nothing to do.. went back hotel to sleep. We went back to the cowboy town around 5pm, thou its open but not much people there. So we stay there till 6 plus.. Hungry.. Asked their local people if its easy to go down to their town. They mentioned can take a cab to their town - Tampin. So Steven and i went Tampin by cab and had pizza hut for dinner and went to their grocery stall to buy water and some goodies back to hotel. But who knows… calling cab at 10pm there is very tough. We stand there for almost half an hour before getting one. Luckily with the help of the local people. The next day, we went to their city tour to some historical places and their chinatown (jonker street). The things are cheap. Their wanton mee there is very nice too. Total grading going to Malacca was 4/10. Not very fun..

Coming Friday will be Jenny’s wedding @ Sentosa and also Xiaoyan’s (HIHS). Me here wishing them a blissful wedding! Hm.. for my wedding.. i still wonder what i should be preparing now.. less then 1 year liao. 11 month plus…

Tired liao.. sleeping soon.. Good night… ZzZzZz..

Happy New Year! Byebye 2007

Happy new year to all my friends! Hope you all had a wonderful party countdown.

Reflection of my 2007.. Hm.. 2007 is quite an emotional year for me. An extreme of sadness and happiness.. Career not successul.. Family problems.. Friendship problem.. Money not enough.. Haha! but luckily Steven and my good friends are around to listen to all my unfortunate. Hopefully 2008 will be a better year for me!

In year 2008, i’m going to work hard, work smart and be healthy. To support my Hon Hon and ensure he study hard hard and pass his ICPAS.

As i’m browsing through my friendster list, notice that alot of pictures has changed to a baby photo. This is a sign that i’m getting old! People getting married with children already! haha! I already know in year 2008, i will see 4 new born babies from my friends and relatives and more to come! I am so happy to hear my friends and relatives with their newborns coz i can play with them. haha!

On the 29th of Dec (Sat), Steven and i went to watch Fish Leung concert at the Singapore indoor stadium. Its really nice. I like Fish Leung’s voice and her bubbly charactor. Thou no dancing, her voice is powerful enough to make everyone awake to listen to her. Her new Album "Zhong Bai", very nice too. I will want to see her concert again! : )

Time to prepare for badminton session with ex colleagues. Playing in Tampiness. Oh Ya! Secondary friends who are seeing this blog, sorry! i havent got any time to book the badminton courts in hougang. My PC spolit.. and i’m using my sis’s laptop. I will check it out later. Paiseh paiseh..

4th week in my new job!~

Hey hey! This is my 4th week in this new company. Everything goes very well.. i want to work well there and i will! Christmas coming soon, hope you all already have some plans to do during Christmas!

We had a primary school gathering on the 8th of Nov (Deepavali holiday) at Smith street. People who went there are Alvin, Melvin, Terence, Julius, Jiancheng and gf, Hanjie and Serene. Good to see everyone there. Another primary school gathering will be coming up soon. Most proberly next year Feb. See you all soon! ^_^/

Found Job le!~

I found job le! Went to sign contract yesterday and will be starting my new job next Monday! (5th Nov) Will do my best there! : )

Went Phuket last weekend (26th - 28th Oct).. bad season to go.. raining all the way. But at least Steven and i went to the Phuket Fantasea (Theme Park) and the day trip, if not will be wasted. Day trip consists of scenery view, gypsy village, cashew nut factory, seafood lunch, elephant show, monkey show, sitting on an elephant, buffalo cart, suana and duty free shop (selling jewelleries). We missed out gypsy village and suana due 2 couples doesnt want to go (We have 3 couples in the trip), so majority wins.

Yesterday was Shea Lee’s wedding @ Royal Plaza hotel (City hall), her hotel room is very special. A open air private Jacuzzi, very nice worz. Her wedding gown is also very special. Saw ex colleagues there (Jonathan, Gek Chew, Sharon, Kailing, Yihyin, San San, Jeslyn, Moon, Celeste, Joanne, Doris and Jenny).

No working.. staying at home.. looking out for job..

Hello everyone! More then 3 months over.. Guess? Am I able to copy with the stress in the new company? Sad to say… no… My last day in that company was on the 27^th of September.. Currently I’m looking out for job again.. Got lobang tell me worz.. i want to work in maritime industry.

Enough of the bad news.. I have a good news to share. Steven and I ROMed on the 28^th of September. We had our solemnization at the Royal Park Hotel (Kitchener Road). Then proceed to chalet at Aranda Country Club (Pasir Ris, unit 2213 & 2214) with some close friends and relatives. Nice place, very big unit. We will still be having our Chinese customary wedding, currently we planned to have it in year 2009. Currently saving money for our big day. ^_^/

I went to 2 interviews this week.. 1 @ Tagore Road.. very ulu place.. Boss ask me to go to work the next day. Work for one day only, cannot tahan the smoking place there. Then the 2nd interview at Merchant Court (yesterday), there’s a small test (Conversion from sq yards to sq meter, currency conversion and knowledge of trade terms.) Hm.. should be no chance lor.. coz.. knowledge of trade terms not very good. Hopefully more interviews to come. I am a hardworking person hope they can open their eyes big big to select me. Wish me luck! ^_^/

New Job- Chemical Trading Company

Hi All, Today is my 2nd week in the new company. I am working in a Chemical trading company as a operation officer, doing bulk shipment. I would say its really tough.. no experience but boss having high expectation i think.. Making me feel so useless.. haiz.. not sure if i’m really made a right choice.. I miss ppl in NYK alot. Telling myself to give a few months to adapt and i have to jia you. I am a very emotional person.. a little bit of thing will make me cry.. i cried on my 5th day of work.. why leh? reason is because i dont know how to do and the linkage of nomination laytime and kena "scolded". Maybe it is not scolding to other ppl, but to me, i feel very lousy.. i unable to memorise..

Boss already told me before i step into this company, the culture here is very different. Lady boss is not easy to work with. Have to tahan critism from lady boss.. i understand, its just i’m too emotional lor.. dont like to be "WU HUI" by other ppl. I will feel very unfair and cried lor.. lousy me.. haiz..

Aiya.. dunno how it will be. But hopefully i can tahan for these 3 months during my probation period. And wish me luck!
